ProcessStep Rollout and Application

A Positioning Map presents the overall Business profile, i.e. “What is it that the Entity to which the Processes “belong”, does”?   It lists the various Steps that the Business applies at high level to achieve its Goals.   Each of these Steps is implemented by means of one or a number of Processes.  Hence, the Processes are identified and listed in a Positioning Map.

From the Positioning Map Processes are prioritised and ProcessStep is rolled out as shown below.  Each Work-session results in a Version upgrade.

The cream-color Steps reflect  Mapping (the “what to do”), and the golden Steps reflect the Work-session where Book writing (the “how to” do it) takes place.  The bright yellow Steps represent the Management Application Stage where Performance, Information, Risk, Quality and other Management Elements are developed, mapped and incorporated into Processes.   Should WorkBooks be needed, the Green Step represents the Stage where the detailed audit-trail WorkBooks follow a Process Step by Step, recording Outcomes.

During the entire roll-out, the Action List, records the Change requirements and activities and becomes the action-by-action Change Management Driver.

Presenting ProcessStep

You will need

  • A Data Projector and a Screen if working electronically.

  • A Flipchart and hardcopy prints to illustrate specific ProcessStep Elements if electronic means are not available.

  • When presenting ProcessStep to Participants, use the  Template: which presents ProcessStep Principles and Elements in PowerPoint.

During the presentation, make sure that you

  • Show the simplicity of ProcessStep.

  • Emphasize the importance of Participation.

  • Explain how ProcessStep will address the Entity Vision and tie in with Strategic Goals.

Here is a final tip: understand the Client requirement and explain how ProcessStep will achieve results.
